Dr. Maria Fernanda Gavazzoni is the founder of the First Alopecia Clinic at Antonio Pedro Federal Hospital, with special interest in Cicatricial Alopecia in patients of color. She is former Treasurer and Secretary of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD), former President of Fluminense SBD, former AHRS Board of Directors and actual member of SBD Fluminense (as science secretary).
